Gwr is a young stallion owned by the Clardy's at Clarwood Farm in PA. He is a son of Eyarth Harlequin, who was a leading sire in Holland and who is a full brother to the legendary mares Eyarth Zsa Zsa and Eyarth Arabella. These two mares have been outstanding contributors to the Welsh section B in the UK. Their offspring include: EYARTH RIO, Eyarth Tomahawk, Eyarth Beau Geste, Eyarth Sama, and Eyarth Tayma. These are all champion stallions in the UK, most notable being of course Eyarth Rio, who has been an oustanding producer. His dam, Brookhall Country Girl, was a daughter of Cottrell Masterpiece, by Solway Master Bronze and her dam was heavily Downland bred.
Gwr has been shown the past few years on the WPCSA circuit in hunters, and was Long Stirrup Champion for 2008.
He has had offspring do well on the line at Devon, including Clarwood's Gentleman Jim, owned by Guy and Helen Clardy.
